Somatic Dance Level 1 and 2

What if movement could become a pathway to healing?

What if the body already held the wisdom, emotions, and insights that the mind has been searching for?

The SOSHA Somatic Dance Practitioner Certification is a transformational training designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of embodied healing and learn how to facilitate powerful Somatic Dance experiences for others.

Whether you're a coach, yoga teacher, healer, therapist, facilitator, or simply someone called to support others in a deeper way, this training will provide you with a practical, trauma-aware framework for working with movement, emotional expression, embodiment, and transformation.

Level 1: Foundations of Somatic Dance

Level 1 is where your journey begins.

You'll learn the core principles and philosophy of Somatic Dance, while experiencing the modality for yourself through guided practices and personal exploration.

This level focuses on:

• Understanding the foundations of Somatic Dance
• Learning the stages and structure of a Somatic Dance journey
• Developing body awareness and embodiment skills
• Understanding emotional expression and release through movement
• Building confidence in holding space for yourself and others
• Experiencing the modality as a participant before facilitating it

Level 1 is both educational and deeply experiential, supporting your own healing journey while laying the foundations for future facilitation.

Level 2: Practitioner Training

Level 2 is where you begin stepping into the role of facilitator.

Building on the foundations established in Level 1, you'll develop the skills, confidence, and practical experience required to guide Somatic Dance experiences safely and effectively, for groups of more than 1.

This level focuses on:

• Facilitation skills and practitioner development
• Creating safe and supportive environments for transformation
• Understanding group dynamics and energy management
• Structuring and leading Somatic Dance sessions
• Ethical and trauma-aware facilitation practices
• Developing your own authentic facilitation style

By the completion of Level 2, you'll have a strong understanding of the Somatic Dance methodology and the confidence to begin integrating this modality into your existing practice or professional offerings.

What Makes SOSHA Different?

At SOSHA, we believe healing is not something we do to people.

It is something we learn to create space for.

That's why our trainings go far beyond teaching techniques.

We don't just teach you what to do. We teach you how to safely, ethically, and confidently facilitate transformational experiences that support embodiment, emotional awareness, self-discovery, and lasting change.

Our certifications are trauma-informed, professionally accredited, and designed to bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and modern best practice.

As a school, we are committed to raising the standard of education within the healing arts.

That means creating practitioners who are not only skilled in their modality, but who understand ethics, facilitation, nervous system awareness, client safety, and the responsibility that comes with holding space for others.

Our vision is to help pioneer a new generation of healing arts practitioners. Practitioners who are deeply embodied, professionally trained, and equipped to support meaningful transformation in the lives of those they serve.

When you study with SOSHA, you're not simply learning a modality.

You're joining a global community of practitioners, healers, coaches, facilitators, and change-makers who are committed to personal growth, professional excellence, and creating a more conscious world through their work.
